Supreme Court grants relief to Box Elder County landowners

The Utah Supreme Court issued an opinion in Harold Selman, Inc. v. Box Elder County (Case No. 20090479) reversing both the district court and Utah Court of Appeals, which had determined that the Utah Office of the Property Rights Ombudsman did not have authority to arbitrate a property dispute in Box Elder County, Utah. The Supreme Court’s decision gives the landowners the legal right to receive assistance from the Property Rights Ombudsman in the landowners road dispute with Box Elder County.
