Dismissal of jail death lawsuit reversed by Ninth Circuit and sent back to Idaho for trial

The United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in San Francisco issued is decision in Van Orden v. Caribou County (Case No. 12-35520) reversing the trial court’s dismissal on summary judgment and remanding for trial the civil rights and wrongful death claims brought by the estate of Crystal Bannister related to her death in the Caribou County, Idaho jail.
